August 8,2019: Atlas V, AEHF-5
An Atlas V 551 launch of the Advanced Energy High-Frequency satellite 5. The launch successfully took place on August 8, 2019, at 6:13 am putting on a magnificent light show for the space coast.
This was the first launch where I attended as media, having been invited to attend the ULA Social event. I viewed the launch from the ITL causeway 4.45 miles from the launch pad.
